If you want to take the next step in your community justice career, this short course is for you. Once you've completed it, you'll get a certificate that proves you're ready for a Diploma in Higher Education (DipHE) in Community Justice.
On this Probation Preparation Certificate Level 4 course, you'll study over 3 months, through distance learning. You'll get a grounding in the skills, knowledge and academic know-how that you'll need to study at higher education. You'll also prepare a recognition of prior learning (RPL) portfolio, demonstrating knowledge and skills you've built over your career.
You'll learn from experienced practitioners, using our Virtual Learning Environment, where you'll have access to all of the learning materials, e-resources, and support you'll need, so we can help you to succeed wherever you are in the country.

How you're assessed
You'll be assessed through a portfolio of evidence of your professional experience with difficult or vulnerable individual or groups.
You will have access to all learning materials through our Virtual Learning Environment. This includes provision of online interactive reading lists, for a speedy delivery of reading material wherever you are.
You'll have access to a unit coordinator and personal academic tutor to access support and guidance.
You'll also get a free dispatch of books and offprints of journal articles if they're not available online.
You will be taught by a course leader and have tutor support throughout your studies. You will also have access to written learning materials and learn about studying in Higher education.
You'll need a level 3 HEI award, A Levels or a Level 3 Vocational Qualification which involved working with difficult or vulnerable groups.
