Our £2,000 Master's Scholarship

students working on a project together

If you accepted an offer on a Master's course before 30 June 2018, you could get £2,000 off your course tuition fee with our Master's Scholarship.

You can use this scholarship alongside the Government Postgraduate Loan scheme.

To be considered for this Master’s Scholarship you must be a UK student and have:

  • Completed an undergraduate degree in 2018
  • Accepted an offer on a full-time MA, MSc, MPA, MRes or LLM course by 30 June 2018
  • Achieved a first class or upper second class honours degree
  • Not completed an undergraduate degree at the University of Portsmouth in 2018

If you completed your undergraduate degree here, see our Master's Scholarship for current students.

See terms and conditions for full eligibility criteria.

2-year courses

If you're studying a full-time Master’s course over 2 years you'll get the scholarship in the first year only.

These Master's Scholarships are limited. So we can't guarantee you'll get it if you're eligible.

You'll need to meet the specific entry criteria for the course you applied for. We give priority to students who show the highest academic achievement from low household incomes.

The University's decision on the allocation of the scholarship is in accordance with the terms and conditions and is final. There's no appeals process.

Alternative scholarships

You can only get one University of Portsmouth scholarship. For example, this Master’s Scholarship or the Alumni Scholarship – not both.

Make sure you read and understand the terms and conditions before you accept it, as an alternative University scholarship may be more suitable for you.
