To be considered for this Master’s Scholarship you must be a UK student and:

  • Accept an offer on a full-time (including distance learning) MA, MSc, MPA, MRes or LLM course before Tuesday 30 June 2020, to commence in September 2020
  • Achieve a first or upper second (2:1) honours degree

If you're not an undergraduate student here, see our Master's Scholarships for new students.

See terms and conditions for full eligibility criteria.

2-year courses

If you're studying a full-time Master’s course over 2 years you'll get the Scholarship in the first year only.

Availability

These Master's Scholarships are limited. So we can't guarantee you'll get it if you're eligible.

You'll need to meet the specific entry criteria for the course you applied for. We give priority to students who show the highest academic achievement.

The University's decision on the allocation of the Scholarship is in accordance with the terms and conditions and is final. There's no appeals process.

Alternative discounts and scholarships

You can only get one University of Portsmouth discount or scholarship. For example, this Master’s Scholarship or the Alumni discount – not both.

Make sure you read and understand the Scholarship terms and conditions before you accept, as an alternative University discount or scholarship may be more suitable for you.

The Scholarship took the pressure off having to find part-time work around my studies, which meant I could devote as much time as I could to complete my Master's.
