Before Danika applied to study here through Clearing, she went to another university for a year but didn't like it...
I wasn't expecting to apply for Portsmouth, but when I researched it there was a lot of helpful information available.
The Clearing phone line helped a lot. I could call and get an instant reply. They told me all the information I would need, and answered my queries.
Because I suffer with anxiety, I spoke to the health and wellbeing department. They made me aware of all the services they had to offer.
Definitely call the Clearing helpline, as they explain everything to you and are able to answer all of your queries.
Although it was an impulsive choice to apply to Portsmouth through Clearing, it was one of the best choices of my life.
Coming to the University has changed my life for the better. There are many things I love – the city, the friends I have made, the experiences I have had. There’s so much to do in Portsmouth, you can never get bored.
I like the area of Southsea. There are many interesting shops as well as close-by supermarkets. It's also just a 20-minute walk from University so it's very convenient.
However, I'd say the best thing is my course.
I think Portsmouth’s Clearing service is excellent and I would recommend others apply for Portsmouth through Clearing.

Currently, our Clearing hotline is open from 9.00am–5.00pm (Monday to Thursday) and 9.00am–4.00 pm (Friday). The hotline will be open for extended hours from A level results day on Thursday 13 August.
