The Systems and Information Systems (SIS) Research Group focuses on the practice, philosophy and methodological concerns of information processing; including informing theory, research methods, systems analysis, systems security, digital forensics, e-commerce and e-government systems relevant to organisational, technological and cultural applications.

Our broad aim is to bring our systems and information systems expertise to bear to make easier some of the day-to-day jobs involved in complex problem solving; systems analysis and design; and in, organisational change.

To achieve this we:

  • Establish and maintain links with professionals to keep abreast of their problems and needs;
  • Conduct research to investigate new solutions to relevant problems;
  • Provide knowledge transfer services to organisations and individuals in both public and private sectors that wish to adopt, develop, and change informing systems, information systems and / or work based systems with or without the help of modern information and communication technologies.
