Nathan Cable is a graduate of the University of Portsmouth's Business School where he studied BA (Hons) Accounting with Finance and MSc Accounting and Business Management.

After University, Nathan worked in various business and finance roles while co-founding his company, Party Hard Travel, with another Portsmouth alumnus, Barry Moore.

The company has been recognised by the Travel Trade Gazette (TTG) Awards for 2 consecutive years. In 2019 nearly 15,000 customers booked their travel with Party Hard Travel and recent partners have included Boohoo, Love Island, Geordie Shore and top DJs.

Hi, Nathan. 

Hello. 

Thank you for joining us for 20 questions with Nathan Cable. So what do you do for work? 

I'm the Co-CEO and Co-Founder of Party Hard Travel. What do you love about your job?

Just the constant challenges and overcoming things. 

What's your favourite party hard destination? I have to say, Ibiza. 

Why? 

Just because I don't stick out like a sore thumb with all the 18/19 year olds.

What's your best travel tip? 

To book your party hard events package before you go on holiday. 

Who has been your most famous party harder?

I'd have to say our main man, Joel Corey. 

What's the hardest thing about starting a company? 

Just the constant failures and then having to overcome them.

Where did you study at university? 

Portsmouth Uni. 

What was the best part? 

Probably the social aspect. 

Would you recommend studying at University of Portsmouth?

Yeah, 100%.

I heard you got an alumni award.

Yeah, I did. It was the first award we ever got. There it is.

So you're an entrepreneur in residence for the University of Portsmouth?

Yeah.

Why did you take on the role?

Just to help young, business minded students with their journey.

What's your favourite film?

Snatch.

What do you do to relax?

Holidays.

Where do you see yourself in years time?

To grow the business, grow other new brands and become one of the biggest brands in travel.

Do you have any special talents?

Just pulling things out the bag last minute, always seem to get it done.

What's the coolest thing you've ever done?

Probably setting up a travel brand.

What's one piece of advice you'd give yourself 10 years ago?

Get ready for the hard work. It's not as easy as you think.
