1. Who we are and what we do

This class contains information on how University of Portsmouth Enterprise Limited (UPEL) was set up, including its legal status and contact details.

University of Portsmouth Enterprise Limited (UPEL) is a limited company which is a fully owned subsidiary of the University of Portsmouth.

UPEL was formed in 1989. The principal activity of UPEL is to be the commercial trading arm of the University. UPEL has no staff directly employed by the University. The UPEL board meets twice a year.

As a wholly owned subsidiary of the University of Portsmouth, UPEL Board members are taken from University staff. They are:

This class contains financial information relating to income and expenditure, procurement, contracts and financial audit.

3. What our priorities are and how we're doing

This class contains information from the last 3 years relating to the University's strategies and plans, performance indicators, audits, inspections and reviews.

4. How we make decisions

This class contains information on how the organisation makes decisions.

Paper copies of the minutes of UPEL Board Meetings and of the Resolutions of the Board are available from the UPEL Company Secretary at claire.dunning@port.ac.uk.

These minutes won't include any confidential items of business.

5. Our policies and procedures

This class contains details of written protocols, policies and procedures for delivering UPEL services and responsibilities.

 

As a wholly owned subsidiary of the University, UPEL is bound by University policies on matters such as complaints management, data protection and records management.

Details of these policies are available in sections 5.10–5.12 of the University of Portsmouth publications scheme.

6. Lists and registers

UPEL doesn't hold, and isn't required to hold, any information in publicly available registers.

7. The services we offer
