Whether you're still at the ideas stage, or you've already started up, our events offer friendly, informal networking.

All our events bring together local women who run (or would like to run) their own business for informal networking and a chance to seek support and advice from our inclusive community.

Join us for a festive version of our networking event!

Alongside the normal opportunity to promote your business and seek support, we'll be taking some time to have fun with a festive quiz!

FAQs

How does an online event work?

When you register, Eventbrite will send you a confirmation email with a link to our online event page. This page contains all the information and links you need to access the event, so keep an eye out for it. Eventbrite will automatically send you a reminder shortly before the meeting, just in case you can't find the original email.

What platform do you use?

This meeting will be held via Zoom.

Do I need to be a member of the network?

No, you don't need to be a member to join in. You just need to be a woman running, or thinking of running, her own business.

Why "Female" Entrepreneurs?

Women face a number of additional barriers, compared to men, when it comes to starting and running a successful business, this network aims to do something about the gender imbalance. If you'd like to know more about this The Alison Rose Review of Female Entrepreneurship outlines some of the issues. We are an inclusive network and welcome members of the LGBTQ+ community who identify as female.

Is there anything else I need to know?

We want the network to be as inclusive as possible, so please don't worry about kids or pets who want to make an appearance! These are the new norms of working life under lockdown.

If you have any other questions, please do get in touch either through the Eventbrite 'Contact the organiser' function, or directly via email to awe@port.ac.uk.
