Moving-in Weekend and Welcome Festival
Saturday 20 September 2025, 10am - 4pm / Sunday 21 September 2025, 10am - 3pm
Once you’ve moved in, head down to our Welcome Festival on Gun House Green, right next to the Students' Union. Enjoy some great food from our street food vendors, meet other students and talk to our friendly support staff who are on hand to answer all your questions.
Induction Week

This is the official start of term and marks the beginning of Induction Week. You'll receive your timetable and induction schedule before the term starts.
Freshers’ Fayre
Tuesday 23 and Wednesday 24 September 2025
Located next to the Students' Union on Gun House Green, the Freshers' Fayre is a great opportunity to meet new people, join a new club or society, grab some freebies and enjoy the atmosphere. Our support services are also on hand to help you get set for the term ahead.
Give Me Sport
Thursday 25 September to Sunday 28 September 2025
During this week, you're invited to join a variety of sports clubs and sports centre taster sessions. Try out one of 34 Team UOP Sports Clubs from American Football to Volleyball, or our swimming pool and fitness classes for £5 as part of a four-day 'Give Me Sport' membership in our Ravelin Sports Centre.
