Biography

Charlotte is University Placement Lead at the University of Portsmouth. This follows 15 years in lecturing and leadership roles within Portsmouth Law School (most recently as Director of Employability), and a first career as a solicitor

Research interests

Charlotte has a significant and sustained record of innovative, research-led curriculum development to support graduate employability. Her research focuses on the evaluation of embedded employability interventions, increasing confident career management and readiness for the graduate recruitment process, and, more recently, career coaching. Charlotte is also author of From Student to Solicitor (Sweet & Maxwell), a career guide for aspiring solicitors.  

Teaching responsibilities

During her 15 years in the Law School, Charlotte's teaching focused on contract, tort and business law, with a specialism in design and delivery of bespoke employability and professional development modules. She continues to deliver career management guest lectures with a particular focus on career values and communicating a clear personal brand.
