Mrs Claire Coulter
Summary
I have two roles within the school of Organisations, Systems and People. I am primarily a Teaching Fellow within the Project Management team. I have over 10 years' experience working as a project manager in the publishing industry, managing digital transformation projects for academic journals. More recently I have been responsible for managing international research collaborations, acting as the project manager for a Horizon 2020 collaboration, as well as overseas development projects funded through the Global Challenges Research Fund.
I use this range of experience in my teaching to help provide a global perspective on project managment, and inspire students to understand how project management as a discipline can act as a catalyst for sustainable development.
Beyond my teaching I am also a postgraduate research student, working towards a PhD in sustainable urban business. I am exploring the brewing industry in London as a case study for how SMEs working in high energy, resource-intensive manufacturing can be both sustainable and commercially viable.
