Biography

I am a senior lecturer in Strategic Quality Management in the School of Organisations, Systems and People. I have an MSc Strategic Quality Management with Distinction. My research interests are in Agile software development and ethical AI. I have been trained in the agile scrum product owner role.

Industry experience includes 11 years in quality roles and 7 years in software development roles.

Quality roles were senior business process analyst; developing new processes, quality engineer; conducting ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 audits and managing the quality of software projects, then quality team lead; leading a small team who managed the quality of programmes. I also managed business resiliency for the site I worked at. As a six sigma black belt I led improvement projects to solve high impacting business problems.

Software roles included junior software engineer and senior software engineer. I worked on requirements, high level design, code, manual testing and automated testing.

I am studying part-time for a PhD, due to submit 30/09/2025, then have my VIVA etc. The title of my Thesis is "A study of agile software development: a challenges-solutions framework".
