Summary

Dr Mahsa Mehrad joined the University of Portsmouth in January 2025 as a Lecturer in the school of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering. Prior to this, she was a Senior Research Associate at Durham University from February 2024 to January 2025. From 2014 to 2024, she held academic positions at Damghan University, including Assistant Professor and later Associate Professor.

Dr Mehrad holds a PhD in Electronic Engineering (2014), following an MSc and BSc in the same field. She has extensive academic and research experience, including more than a decade of university-level teaching, multiple international collaborations, and leadership in funded industrial and academic research projects. Her research focuses on advanced semiconductor devices, power electronic devices, Digital Electronics, and Circuit design, more than 30 peer-reviewed journal publications and editorial roles in international journals.
