I am a full-time senior lecturer in Marketing at the University of Portsmouth. My academic interests relate to Marketing and Hospitality Management. I received my PhD in Business Economics (with a concentration in Marketing) from the Universidad de Salamanca, Spain. I also hold a MRes and a BSc in Business Economics.
My research topics include consumer decision making, eWOM and pricing. My research focuses on the role of online information in shaping consumer behaviour. My work has been published in leading journals including Annals of Tourism Research, Journal of Travel Research and International Journal of Hospitality Management.
I am a co-investigator in a number of consultancy projects. We work together with Homeaway Inc. in the project "Barometer of vacational rental". Since 2014, this project provides a solid understanding of tourists’ decisions and behaviour in the context of hotel and holiday home stays in Spain.
My teaching responsibilities include a number of modules both at PG and UG level. I also supervise UG and PG dissertations within the fields of marketing, international business management and hospitality management.
