My most recent role as a Community Matron has involved supporting individuals and their carers living with multiple complex long term conditions to manage their condition in their own homes and to avoid unnecessary hospital admissions. With a second degree as a Community Specialist practitioner I have also gained Advanced history taking and physical assessment skills, mentorship skills and am a non medical prescriber (Masters accreditation); Skills that have enabled service users to expedite care of the highest quality. I have also developed a strategic interest in pursuing quality in the workplace and am heavily involved with Clinical Governance.
