Summary

I am a Senior Lecturer in New Product Development. I have published in several Marketing and New Product Development journals, primarily in the areas of packaging development and product development in an ageing population. I have worked with many firms to examine and enhance their new product development activities. Much of my research is within the food and drink industry and broader fast-moving consumer goods sector, with both large and small companies.

Research interests

My research interests include new product development, product and packaging development within the food industry, and ageing consumers. I am currently working on projects exploring:

- Packaging development and food waste reduction

- New product development capabilities in an ageing society

- A critical examination of consumer input to product development projects

- Category management and own-brand food product devleopment

Teaching responsibilities

I am Course Leader for BA Business, Management and Entrepreneurship. I teach on a variety of undergraduate and postgraduate modules in the areas of new product development and innovation management including, Managing New Product Development and Innovation Management. I also co-ordinate and teach on Managing Product Portfolios, and Contemporary Issues in Product and Service Development.
