Summary

I am a Senior Lecturer and a course leader for the BSc (Hons) Advancing Professional Practice (Top-Up) degree in the School of Health and Care Professions. I work primarily for the BSc (Hons) Paramedic Science and Advancing Professional Practice (Top-Up) BSc (Hons) programmes.  I also work as a Paramedic in a clinical capacity at South Central Ambulance Service (SCAS) and my work with SCAS also extends into academic fields since 2017, where I am involved in research projects with a group of cross university researchers and research enthusiasts from the organisation.

I am currently enrolled on a PhD programme at the University of Portsmouth, where I am further studying my key interest area of sepsis care and the use of broad spectrum intravenous antibiotics for sepsis treatment in the UK ambulance service.

Research interests

My current research interests are dementia recording and care in the ambulance service and also, the effectiveness of intravenous antibiotics in the treatment of prehospital sepsis.
