Biography

I have a PhD degree in construction management from Heriot-Watt University. I also have two postgraduate degrees in Industrial Management and Performance Management & Control from the University of Liege. I was a formal lecturer at the National University of Civil Engineering and a research associate at Heriot-Watt University.

Research interests

My research footprint includes sustainability, green high-performance building, and affordable/social housing. I am also interested in innovative technologies (BIM) and new collaborative working approaches like integrated project delivery. 

I am an accomplished researcher and peer reviewer with a strong track record of contributing to several prestigious peer-reviewed journals and conferences. I am also the Secretary/Co-Editor for the highly-regarded international conference series on Construction Digitalisation for Sustainable Development (CDSD), a role I have held since 2020. 

Teaching responsibilities

I am the module leader and research supervisor for the Dissertation module for the MSc Project Management in Construction. I am also responsible for teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students across multiple courses, including Quantity Surveying, Building Surveying, Civil Engineering, Property Development, Construction Engineering Management, and Project Management for Construction. My primary teaching activities focus on project management in construction, including crucial knowledge areas and new technologies like BIM or approaches like the integrated project delivery approach and sustainability.
