Professional Profile – Sasha Barron
Sasha Barron is a Senior Lecturer in Chinese Language and Area Studies. She has been teaching Chinese language, professional communication, and both Eastern and Western music for more than thirty years in the UK.
She currently serves as the Chinese Language Coordinator and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
Sasha teaches at all levels of Chinese language, as well as modules in Language Learning and Teaching and Professional Communication.
She is a member of the International Chinese Language and Teaching Society (ICLTS, 世界汉语协会会员) and the British Chinese Language Teaching Society (BCLTS, 英国汉语教学协会会员).
In 2015, the Students’ Union at the University of Portsmouth awarded Sasha the First Prize for “Most Innovative Teacher.”
