Research Interests

I am producing a series of filmed interviews with Master Practitioners for website dissemination.

I intend producing one journal paper under the title: The changing face of the art of Location Sound Recording practices within the Observational Documentary genre, in UK TV; post 1990.

I will also produce a second journal paper which will consider the future of the Observational Documentary genre in UK TV: The impact of 360 Audio on Story-telling: the new opportunities for the art of Location Sound Recording practices within the Observational Documentary genre, in UK TV.

At the root of my outputs as above, is my industry practice and experience as a Sound Recordist specialising in Observational Documentaries in the international Film/TV industry, over 25+ years (CV above).
