What to expect on the day
-
The day will last around 3-4 hours. It will begin with a brief presentation and tour of our performance spaces from the course team, followed by a group warm-up activity. This will give you the opportunity to meet the course team and other applicants, and get a taste of what it’s like to study at Portsmouth.
-
Following the warm-up, you will be asked to perform individually for the course team in a private audition and interview. Please prepare a song, short monologue, piece of movement, or a combination of these. If you choose to perform a monologue, this can be from any play or musical.
-
The day will end with an opportunity to ask the course team any questions you may have, followed by a tour of our performance, music and creative spaces.

If you are applying to BA Musical Theatre, your individual performance should include at least two of the following: singing, dancing, acting.
