Architectural Inspiration
Inspired by a contrast between modern and historic architecture, the collection investigates how repeated shapes and architectural lines can frame the body. Sculpted forms reference monuments and urban structures, while geometric motifs are extended across garments to create continuity and balance, similar to their use within architectural design.
Repetition as Design Method
Repetition operates as both decoration and a method of construction. It is used to build rhythm and structure throughout the garments, reinforcing the connection between textile design and architectural systems.
Colour & Form
The restrained colour palette emphasises shadow, form, and silhouette, directing attention towards the structure of each garment rather than surface detail.
Sustainability & Materials
Sustainability is a core part of the collection. Designs consider material efficiency, modular pattern cutting, and longevity. The garments are made entirely from natural materials, including cotton fabric, cotton wadding for quilted sections and bioplastic sequins made from fully biodegradable components.
Concept Statement
Conscious Framework proposes fashion as architecture, built, worn and renewed. Garments are treated as enduring frameworks designed properly, they are made to last.
