Concept / Aim

My final collection challenges the standard of beauty and luxury by manipulating unexpected materials into wearable fashion. I explore the possibility of repurposing recycled aluminium cans into sculptural clothing.

Outfit 1: Chainmail Maxi Dress

I created a maxi dress entirely from ring pulls for my first outfit, constructing an unusual but visually striking chainmail fabric completely by hand.

Outfit 2: Reversible Corset Look

For my second outfit, I continued this theme by developing a digital print of my chainmail textile, printed onto a skirt. I also used the bodies of cans, hand-sewn together, to create a reversible corset.
