Writer and stand-up comic who explores neurodiversity and mental health
Joe Wells’ writing career began at the age of 15 with the publication of his first book – Touch and Go Joe – which is about his experiences of OCD.
Since then he has made a name for himself as a stand-up comic, writer and podcaster.
Joe’s work explores neurodiversity, mental health and his own autistic identity.

As well as performing to sell out crowds on his solo tour, Joe has supported Frankie Boyle and Alexei Sayle on theirs.
In 2020 Joe went viral with his stand-up clip, Joe Wells on having a non-autistic brother, which gained over 4.5 million views across Twitter, Facebook, TikTok and YouTube.
With more videos gaining views in the millions, Joe now has an online following of over 150,000.
Joe co-hosts the Neurodivergent Moments podcast and, in 2026, his book of the same name was published to glowing reviews.
