Is the job of a Company Director simply to make as much money as possible, as quickly as possible, for shareholders? Do businesses have obligations to employees, other stakeholders and society as a whole?

In this book, Professor Alexander (‘Sandy’) Pepper, Chair of the University Board of Governors and Emeritus Professor at LSE, considers the controversial subject of corporate purpose. Drawing on philosophy, economics, law and management studies, he critically examines competing answers to the question ‘What’s a Company For?’.

Join us on Monday 23 November at 5:00pm for the book launch. There will be a talk and discussion with Professor Pepper, followed by networking over drinks and canapés. Free signed copies of the book will be available on the evening for guests who would like one.

Doors open at 5:00pm so we can start promptly at 5:20pm.
Venue: Richmond Building Atrium and LT3
