Disability Advice and Student Wellbeing Pre Arrival Tours
Starting university is an exciting step, and we’re here to help you feel confident, prepared and supported from day one.
This welcoming transition event is designed for students with disabilities who will be joining us this September. The session provides a calm, supportive environment to explore campus, meet key support staff, and connect with other students ahead of the busy start of term.
What to expect
- Guided campus familiarisation tour in a small group
- Informal Q&A with Disability Advice and Student Wellbeing
- Introduction to available support and services
- Opportunities to meet peer ambassadors
- Practical advice to help you feel “study ready”
Why attend?
This event aims to reduce pre-arrival anxiety, build confidence, and help you understand what support is available so you can start university feeling prepared and reassured.
Who is this for?
- Applicants with a disability or long-term condition
Event format
- Small group tours (maximum 5 students). Parents/guardians welcome.
- Friendly, informal introduction to the Disability Advice and Student Wellbeing teams
