The University of Portsmouth’s inaugural EnterpriseFest takes place on 30 March.
The event is an opportunity to showcase, share and celebrate the breadth of the University’s enterprising and entrepreneurial initiatives.
You can meet University graduates and staff who have successfully established their business startups. Guests can also experience open mic pitching, where businesses can win a cash investment for their idea. The event will also feature the EnterpriseFest awards ceremony and a networking reception.
The keynote speaker is Rachel Lowe MBE, successful entrepreneur and University graduate. Rachel was the first female entrepreneur to join the University’s Entrepreneurs in Residence programme, back in 2018.
This is an opportunity to immerse yourself in an evening that showcases our startup talent, who are turning innovative ideas into reality. Guests can share experiences, meet new people and leave inspired.
Jaimes Harrington, SME Business Unit Coordinator and Manager of the Entrepreneurs in Residence Programme
2023 marks the 20-year anniversary of Rachel starting her own business while still a student at the University. Fast forward past appearing on Dragon’s Den, launching a range of successful businesses and finding her passion, to today – when Rachel will share her journey, what she’s learnt, and what inspires her.
Jaimes Harrington, SME Business Unit Coordinator and Manager of the Entrepreneurs in Residence Programme at the University of Portsmouth, said: “This is an opportunity to immerse yourself in an evening that showcases our startup talent, who are turning innovative ideas into reality.
