On this short course you'll cover:

• The role of the practice supervisor
• Facilitating and enhancing learning opportunities
• Principles of Assessment and Evaluation
• Adult learning theory
• How students learn.
• Critical evaluation of the influence of power and authority in the supervisory relationship

You'll be assessed through:

• practice based teaching observations and written reflection
• support and assessment of one 70 day student placement

This unit is offered to registered social workers or any professional body who have at least one year post qualifying experience. The worker must have been identified as eligible to support students from the University of Portsmouth.
