University of Portsmouth Creative Futures Design Competition

  1. The promoter is: University of Portsmouth whose registered office is at Mercantile House, Hampshire Terrace, Portsmouth PO1 2EG.  
  2. The competition is open to students enrolled in A Levels, BTEC, UAL, T Levels, a Foundation Diploma or an equivalent qualification.  
  3. There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter this competition.  
  4. By entering this competition, the entrant indicates their agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.  
  5. All submissions to the competition must be original work created by the entrant and must not infringe upon any third-party intellectual property rights, including copyrights. The entrant accepts full responsibility and liability for any such infringement, and the University shall bear no liability in this regard.  
  6. Only one entry will be accepted per person for each category. 
  7. The closing date for entry is 12 noon on 26th February 2027.  
  8. No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason.  
  9. The competition is open to residents of the United Kingdom except for employees and contractors of the promoter and their close relatives, and anyone otherwise connected with the organisation or judging of the competition. 
  10. The rules of the competition and route to entry are as follows: Entrants can submit one original design piece for each of the categories. Entries must be submitted via the online form on the competition website. Digital entry only, all digital entries must be, no larger than 30MB or a short video maximum 10MB. Students are encouraged to document their work on Instagram and tag us on uniportsmouthcci. 
  11. The promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions, without notice, in the event of a catastrophe, war, civil or military disturbance, act of God, any actual or anticipated breach of any applicable law or regulation or any other event outside of the promoter’s control. The promoter also reserves the right to cancel the competition if the judging panel deems none of the entries to be suitable for use.  
  12.  Any changes to the competition will be notified to entrants as soon as possible by the promoter.  
  13. The promoter is not responsible for inaccurate prize details supplied to any entrant by any third party connected with this competition.  
  14. There will be a range of prizes given to the finalists, including recognition, experience, mentorship, networking, and progression opportunities.   
  15. The prize is as stated, and no cash or other alternatives will be offered.  
  16. Finalists will be selected by a panel of judges consisting of staff in the Faculty of Creative and Cultural industries and an Industry Panel. 
  17. The finalists will be notified within the second week of April. The promoter will contact the finalists through the email address they used to enter.  
  18. If the finalists cannot be contacted or does not claim the prize within seven days of notification, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize from the finalists and pick a replacement finalist.  
  19. The promoter’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.  
  20. The competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by English law, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England.  
  21. Any personal data relating to the winners or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with current UK data protection legislation and will not be disclosed to a third party without the entrant’s prior consent.  
  22. The winner’s names will be available 28 days after each competition’s closing date by writing to the following address: CCI Faculty Marketing Team, 0.98a Faculty Office, Eldon Building, Winston Churchill Avenue, PO1 2DJ.  
  23. Entry into the competition will be deemed as acceptance of these terms and conditions.  
  24. You are providing your information only to the University of Portsmouth and not to any other party.  
  25. Travel expenses cannot be covered by the University.
