Campus Quest: Open Experience Day competition (25 April 2026)

The promoter is University of Portsmouth whose registered office is at Mercantile House, Hampshire Terrace, Portsmouth PO1 2EG.

 

Eligibility

The competition is open to residents of the United Kingdom except employees of the promoter including any third parties and their close relatives and anyone otherwise connected with the organisation or judging of the competition.

Entrants under the age of 18 confirm that they have obtained the consent of a parent or legal guardian to enter the competition. The University of Portsmouth reserves the right to request proof of such consent prior to awarding the prize. 

There is no entry fee and no purchase necessary to enter this competition.

By entering this competition, the entrant indicates his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.

 

Routes to entry

To enter the competition, entrants must: 

  1. Download the ‘UoP Open Days’ app in your app store.
  2. Create an account and log in to the app.
  3. Explore the campus and scan the QR codes (in any order) situated at 5 locations across the university campus to gain digital badges.

 

Closing date for entry

The closing date for entry is 11.59pm on Sunday 26 April 2026. After this date no further entries to the competition will be permitted. 

The University of Portsmouth accepts no responsibility for entries not received, incomplete entries, or failure to complete check-in due to technical issues, network failures, system errors, or any other circumstances beyond the University of Portsmouth’s reasonable control. 

 

Rules of the competition

  1. Entrants must scan all 5 QR codes (in any order) and gain all 5 digital badges in the app to be eligible for the prize draw.
  2. Only one entry will be accepted per person. Multiple entries from the same person will be disqualified.
  3. No responsibility can be accepted for entries not received for whatever reason.
  4. The rules of the competition and route to entry are as follows: Entrants must create an account using their registered email address to be eligible to participate in the prize draw.
  5. The promoter reserves the right to cancel or amend the competition and these terms and conditions where necessary due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control. Any changes will be communicated to entrants as soon as reasonably practicable.
  6. Entry into the competition will be deemed as acceptance of these terms and conditions.

 

The prize

The prize is one £50 Love2shop digital gift card.

The prize is as stated, and no cash or other alternatives will be offered. The prize is not transferable. The prize is subject to availability, and we reserve the right to substitute any prize with another of equivalent value.

 

Winner selection

One winner will be chosen at random by software from all entries received and verified by the promoter and/or its agents.

The winner will be drawn after the final Open Experience Day, which takes place on 26 April 2026.

The winner will be notified by Thursday 30th April 2026 via the email address used to enter. 

If the winner cannot be contacted or does not claim the prize within seven days of notification, we reserve the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and pick a replacement winner.

The promoter will notify the winner when and where the prize will be delivered.

The promoter’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the competition will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.

 

Legal

The competition and these terms and conditions will be governed by English law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England.

Personal data supplied during the course of this promotion will be processed only for the purposes of administering the competition, verifying eligibility, and awarding the prize.
