Biography

I am a physicist specialising in gravitaional waves, particularly detector characterization and data analysis for compact binaries. I got my bachelor's degree from MIT and my PhD in physics (theoretical gravity) from Cornell University. I began working on gravitational waves in my first postdoc at Syracuse University, followed by Penn State. I was at the Max Planck Institut für Gravitationsphysik when gravitational waves were first detected in 2015, then joined the ICG in 2017.

Teaching responsibilities

I am the module coordinator (and one of the lecturers) for:

• Computational Physics (2nd year)
• Advanced Computational Techniques (4th year)

In past years, I have also taught 3rd year General Relativity. I supervise 3rd and 4th year projects on gravitational waves and on satellite remote sensing.
