Summary

I am the Knowledge Services Lead for the Strategy Enterprise and Innovation (SEI) subject group in the Faculty of Business and Law. I am also a Reader in Innovation Management and Entrepreneurship and fellow of the Higher Education Academy.

I have understaken collaborative work with a number of organisations within the public and private sectors. In particular I have extensive experience working on Knowledge Transfer Partnership projects. 

I have written over 15 refereed journal articles published in highly ranked journals, related to innovation management and new product development. I have also published articles related to Marketing and Sales Management.

Biography

In 2013 I completed my PhD examining the management of packaging within new product development in the fast moving consumer goods industry. I am currently superising a number of PhD projects in areas linked to my research interests, which include, new product development, product innovation, process innovation and packaging.

Research interests

My current research is primarily in the arena of innovation management and new product development, in particular I am exploring innovation within low and medium technology industries and the food industry.

Teaching responsibilities

I teach on a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes related to business and management, and I am particularly heavily involved in teaching on the MSc in Innovation Management and Entrepreneurship. I currently coordinate a Masters unit on Managing New Product Development.
