Summary

I have worked in Further and Higher Education since 2008 and am currently a Senior Teaching Fellow at the University of Portsmouth. I lead courses in FdA Early Years Care and Education & Learning Support and the BA Education Studies degree programme. Additionally, I coordinate modules on the BA Education, Childhood and Youth Studies programmes and deliver lectures on the MSc Educational Leadership and Initial Teacher Education (ITE) courses. I also provide personalised tutoring and coaching to support the academic progress of undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral students, fostering a supportive learning environment.

My PhD in Educational Research from the University of Sunderland focused on "Leading Educational Change and Improvement from the Ground Up." My research explored teacher-focused models of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and lesson observation, emphasising educational improvement as a shared endeavour built on trust and professional agency.

I continue to research inclusive leadership and CPD, while advocating for and supporting practitioner-focused Further Education and Skills (FES) research within FES institutions.

Committed to educational innovation, quality improvement, and technology-enhanced learning, I actively share my research through blogs, articles, peer-reviewed journals, and conferences.
