Ms Annabelle Harold-Harrison

I am a Senior Lecturer in Law in the School of Civil Engineering and Surveying. I have experience in teaching contract, tort, land and landlord and tenant law.

My research interests focus on contracts and construction law. I am particularly interested in socio-legal research within these fields.

I am a Senior Lecturer in Law within the School of Civil Engineering and Surveying at the University of Portsmouth. As part of this role, I am responsible for the design, coordination and delivery of various legal modules required for surveying students studying an RICS accredited degree pathway. These modules cover the subjects of tort law, contract law, land law and landlord and tenant law. I also provide teaching support on various construction law modules. In addition, I support colleagues with the design and delivery of online and blended learning materials.

Prior to working in Higher Education, I qualified and worked as a commercial solicitor in private practice and in-house on secondment with a large horticultural charity. My experience focused on advising on, drafting and amending a range of commercial contracts and providing advise on associated legal issues including franchising arrangements, data protection and consumer law. I also have experience of assisting the construction team with amendments to standard form contracts and drafting framework agremeents for large scale construction projects.
