Biography
Prior to joining the University in 2010, I have spent six years contributing to teaching, learning and research in various capacities within the UK and in India.
At Portsmouth University, I have currently taken up the general management role of Subject Group Resourcer (OSHRM). I am the Course Leader for MSc Leadership Health and Wellbeing-Postgraduate programme suite. I have also served as Admissions tutor for the Business and Management Degrees for the Faculty of Business and Law.
Research interests
My particular research interest areas are Evaluating and Enhancing HR practices and systems, Cross culture Management, Organisational Culture and Stress and coping. My current work in these areas has been published in, amongst others, Journal of Health Management, Indian Journal for Training and Development and Indian Journal of Management. I have presented papers at national and international conferences on these issues as well.
Having interest in healthcare area, I have worked as a Consultant with private hospitals like Apollo & Sterling Group of Hospitals (India). I have conducted Management Development Programs for company executives and medical professionals on the theme of 'Executive Stress and Coping' and also steered 'Stress Audit' in various companies. My continuing interest in aspects of people management has lead to my association with public, private and joint sector organizations abroad.
