Dr Xin Zhang
Biography
I received my Ph.D. in mechatronics from University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, in 2019.
I am a Lecturer in the School of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering at University of Portsmouth, Portsmouth, UK. Previously, I worked at Shenyang Institute of Automation, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), Shenyang, China, and Italian Institute of Technology, Genova, Italy. My research interests include robotics, human–robot interaction, and artificial intelligence.
I was the recipient of the Dean’s Award for Excellence of CAS and the CAS Outstanding Doctoral Dissertation. I serve as an Associate Editor for Frontiers in Robotics and AI and the Journal of Field Robotics, and I am a senior member of IEEE.
