Mohammed already had a place at another university but applied to Portsmouth when he achieved better grades than he expected...

I was extremely happy because I exceeded my predicted grades. I worked hard to achieve my grades and was excited for the next stage of my life. My teachers encouraged me to go to a better university, as I did better than expected.

I decided to adjust my offer and apply through Adjustment early, to find the best courses available to me. My plan was to apply to the best university I could find through Clearing. Speaking to someone on the Clearing hotline felt so easy, and the staff were extremely friendly and supportive.

Before applying to Portsmouth I went on one of the Clearing Open Days. I was amazed by the facilities and support available to me. The staff seemed so friendly and were open to any questions.

The city was incredible and lively and the University is rated as one of the best in the country. I was ecstatic as Portsmouth is a great university to be part of.
