Alumni Lounge: 10.00am-5.00pm

Join us throughout the day in the Student's Union; share your stories and add them to our memory board.

The Garden Party: 12.00pm-2.30pm

Choose your lunch from one of our local vendors and redeem your two drinks.

Chancellor, Karen Blackett OBE and Vice Chancellor, Graham Galbraith will welcome you. Then it's time to kick back, relax and enjoy the rest of the afternoon.

Talks

Exercise is medicine: from elite sport to clinical practice: 11.00am

Dr Zoe Saynor, ex-England rugby player and world-leading expert in exercise from the  School of Sport, Health and Exercise Science, will give a fascinating insight into the benefits of sport and exercise to health.

Taking reality to a new dimension: 4.00pm

Get a glimpse of the future in areas like cultural heritage, dental simulation and live facial recognition. Better yet, experience a little of it for yourself in the Motion Capture room and more.

What shall we do with the drunken sailor? 4.30pm

Stepping ashore with pockets full of prize money, 18th Century sailors would go on a 'spree' in many pubs and brothels that sat on the port's waterfront. But, according to the Victorians, who were the prey and who were the perpetrators?

Tours

Ravelin Sports Centre: 11.30am

A thirty minute tour of the fantastic new facility.

Historical Walking Tour: 3.30pm

A short 30 minute walk around the campus highlighting history of the University (and earlier institutions) in the city which it thrives.

Our academic teams are excited to catch up with former students and showcase new innovations. You are warmly invited to join them for a special early evening reception, as part of the celebrations.
