Championing Tomorrow's Creative Talent - My World in 2050
Creative Futures is a design competition open to all students in Further Education.
Imagine the future through your creative eyes. How will we live, work and connect? What will our homes, fashion, products, cities and communities look like? Will new technologies solve today's challenges, or create new ones? How might sustainability, climate change, innovation and creativity shape the world around us?
This is your opportunity to explore your ideas and bring your vision to life through an original creative response. Whether your work is optimistic, thought-provoking or challenges the future, we want to see your unique perspective.
My World in 2050 is an open brief, giving you the freedom to submit a project created as part of your studies or a personal piece of work. There are no limits to your imagination, show us your creativity, your ideas and your vision of the future.
What's required?
Creative one original piece of work that responds to the theme My World in 2050. You may submit one entry in each category (maximum three entries).
You submission can be:
- A project created as part of your studies, or
- A personal creative project
Who can enter?
The competition is open to students studying at schools and Further Education colleges across the UK.
We welcome entries from students studying A Levels, BTEC, T Levels, Foundation Diplomas, and other equivalent Level 3 qualifications.
Whatever your creative discipline, we would love to see your ideas and your vision of the future.
Recognition, awards and prizes
Competition entries will be judged by a distinguished panel of internationally recognised artists, leading creative industry professionals, and academic experts from the University of Portsmouth.
Awards and prizes are currently being finalised and will include a range of exciting opportunities, including industry recognition, public exhibitions, portfolio reviews, mentoring, professional networking, work experience, and exclusive invitations to University of Portsmouth events.
To recognise the outstanding support and commitment of Further Education providers, a Teacher and College Engagement Award will be presented to one institution that demonstrates exceptional engagement with the competition.

How to enter

- Competition category
- A short statement (100–200 words) explaining your work and how it relates to the theme
