In both research and teaching practice, we explore how contemporary design practices are reshaping our understanding of ecological landscapes (eco-scapes) through digital technologies. Drawing on three complementary perspectives, this session introduces how 3D modelling can be used to work within natural environments rather than simply represent them, how artificial intelligence is beginning to influence design approaches to nature and landscape, and how GIS-based 3D representation enables new readings of land use and environmental systems. Together, the presentations demonstrate how nature and technology intersect in design-led research, offering accessible insights into emerging tools and methods for visualising and engaging with contemporary eco-scapes across different cultural and geographical contexts.
