Information for prospective students and applicants

20 March 2020

5 min read

Due to the global COVID-19 outbreak, the UK Government has announced the cancellation of examinations and assessments, including A-levels, in May and June 2020.

We recognise this is a difficult and stressful time for you.

Please don't worry. We are working to better understand the impact this may have. Once the situation becomes clearer, we will provide further information about what we are doing to ensure we can manage the admissions process for those of you who want to join us this autumn.

We’re working closely with UCAS, exam boards and the UK Government to understand what this will mean for the university admissions process. UCAS is also providing regular updates.

If you're an applicant or prospective student and have a question, please contact our Information Line: infoline@port.ac.uk / +44 (0)23 9284 5588

We will update our Coronavirus FAQs page with the latest information and advice as and when it becomes available. Please check the FAQs page regularly as the situation develops.

In the meantime, we wish to reassure all offer holders that we will do all that we can to support you and minimise the impact this may have on your admission.
