Portsmouth Business School students came second in the IBM Universities Business Challenge finals, winning £500.
The challenge is open in October each year and is simulation based. It challenges students to act as a board of directors who must take control of a virtual company.
The team was made up of 5 students who managed to come back from a difficult start in the first round. Lea, Hanna, Louis, Vincent and Lea turned an £8m loss round to secure the 2017 silver award.
The day, hosted by IBM, was held in the Southbank HQ on the banks of the Thames. In addition to the competition, IBM prepared an excellent programme of speakers.
