Explore our latest research driving better patient outcomes
The Healthcare Outcomes and Clinical Practice Research Focus Group undertakes applied, multidisciplinary research to improve healthcare delivery, clinical practice and patient outcomes. The group brings together expertise in clinical and health services research, digital medicine, public health, medicines optimisation, pharmacy practice and healthcare education. Its work generates evidence to support safer, more effective and more equitable healthcare for patients, communities and wider society.
The group works at the interface of research, practice, policy and education, with a strong focus on translational impact. It collaborates with NHS organisations, local authorities, charities and other partners including the Wessex Academic Health Science Network and Wessex ARC and the Drug Safety Research Unit. These partnerships enable the group to address real-world healthcare priorities from the perspective of the different stakeholders in innovative and effective ways.
