Start the day with a welcome talk about our Sports courses. Then, prospective students will split into groups to take part in immersive sessions across three core areas of Sport here at Portsmouth:
- Sport and Exercise Science
- Sport Management
- Sport and Exercise Psychology
While students are exploring these experiences, guests will stay with the academics for a Q&A session, followed by a guided building tour to see the activities in action.
Finally, everyone will come back together for an informal Q&A with staff, giving you the chance to ask questions and learn more about studying with us and at Brock University, Canada.

Discover what it’s like to train as a social worker in this interactive session. You’ll start with a realistic risk assessment simulation, entering our specially designed flat to identify potential dangers in a home environment where challenges such as alcohol misuse, mental health issues, and neglect are present.
Next, take part in a decision-making workshop where you’ll explore structured approaches to safeguarding and discuss real-life dilemmas. You’ll also practice rapport-building techniques that are essential for engaging families in crisis and building trust.
Along the way, you’ll meet current social work students, hear from service users with lived experience of disability and mental health challenges, and have the chance to ask our teaching staff questions about careers and the course.
