Experience what life as a Mathematics student at Portsmouth would be like. You'll meet your future lecturers as well as current students on the course, and take part in hands-on activities to give you a flavour of what studying on this course would look like. You will take part in a taster of differential equations: in this activity we will see how to build on the simple differential equations you know from your A-level to look at more complex systems of equations, and some of the many real world applications. You will also take a first look at how mathematical models can be used to make predictions using data. When building models it is very useful to visualize their predictions on a computer, and this will form part of the session.
