Dr Rebecca Lodwick
I am a Senior Teaching Fellow in the School of Civil Engineering and Surveying, teaching mathematics and statistics to Civil Engineering undergraduates.
I joined the School of Civil Engineering and Surveying in 2016. Previously, I worked at University College London as a medical statistician on various research projects in areas including HIV, dementia, and palliative care. I have a PhD in Mathematical Sciences from Queen Mary, University of London (Crossover designs: issues in construction, use, and communication), an MSc in Medical Statistics from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, and an MMath in Mathematics from the University of Oxford.
I am intested in the use of statistical modelling to solve problems in civil engineering. With a background in medical research, I am also interested in health & safety in construction.
My main teaching responsibilities are the level 4 module Engineering Analysis and the level 5 module Numerical Skills & Economics, both on the Civil Engineering undergraduate courses.
