I am a teaching fellow within the Law School at the University of Portsmouth. I am also completing my PhD on a part-time basis, which focuses on child protection, local authority obligations and international human rights law.

Research interests

My research interests are broadly related to child and family law. My specific interest is in child protection and child welfare law, focussing on understanding how the legal framework in the United Kingdom compares to the international human rights obligations for protecting children from harm. I am particularly interested in the substantive obligations placed on states by the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child.
