Welcome! Here's your intro to the event and what's coming up, from a member of our University Executive Board at the University of Portsmouth.

Things are evolving for 2024 undergraduate entry and beyond. Hear directly from UCAS about some of the big changes to personal statement and reference writing, and get clarity and confidence on the road ahead.

  • Business & Law: Marketing & Digital Marketing  learn how we equip students with the skills to identify future trends and marketing methods both for today and the future – including the potential impact of AI, the metaverse and beyond.

  • Creative & Cultural Industries: Drama & Performance, Musical Theatre tour our performance facilities, including our rehearsal studios and lighting grids, semi-sprung movement floors, sound equipment and prop-making spaces.

  • Creative & Cultural Industries: Tour of Eldon Building and CCIXR – explore our home of creative arts, media and technologies. Then see the Centre for Creative and Immersive Extended Reality (CCIXR), which is the UK’s first integrated facility with a full suite of XR technologies.

  • Humanities: Criminology*  Explore 8 Crime Scene Rooms to see what students take part in during Criminology courses – with realistic scenes and lab equipment that create a more unique learning environment. *Max 10 spaces.

  • Humanities: Primary teaching  Uncover the application and interview process for highly competitive teaching courses. Explore the structure of the course and changes that the DfE is implementing for 2024 teaching courses.

  • Science & Health: Dental Hygiene & Therapy  see how students use dental tools to master their craft in the Phantom Head Room. You’ll also see our working clinics, where we recreate what happens during patient appointments.

  • Science & Health: Pharmacy and Biomedical Science  tour our exceptional facilities, including the Pharmacy and Clinical assessment area. You'll visit teaching and research laboratories where students build their skills in safe and contextual environments.

  • Technology: Physics, Astrophysics & Cosmology – Discover Quantum and Condensed Matter labs then tour the Institute of Cosmology and Gravitation – an international centre of research excellence.

  • Business & Law: Business & Human Resource Management (HRM) – HRM has been identified as 1 of the career pathways that is least vulnerable to automation. Learn how our course addresses skill shortages in the UK by developing specialist knowledge of people management.

  • Creative & Cultural Industries: Tour of Eldon Building  Eldon Building is the home of the creative arts, media and technologies at Portsmouth and our most cutting-edge technologies. See specialist areas around the building and, including brand-new Music Studios and the 3D Workshop.

  • Humanities: Criminology*  Explore 8 Crime Scene Rooms to see what students take part in during Criminology courses – with realistic scenes and lab equipment that create a more unique learning environment. *Max 10 spaces.

  • Science and Health: Psychology Tour our VR suite, Motion Capture, Psychophysiology, Eye-Tracking and Biomarker Labs. You'll see how our facilities are used by students on undergrad Psychology courses – and the amazing careers students do as graduates.

  • Science and Health: Sport Science  Explore the School of Sport, Health and Exercise Science, including our labs and equipment. We'll cover our Sport Science courses and areas of expertise, such as extreme environments, organisational performance, health and rehabilitation.

  • Sport & Recreation: Ravelin Sport Centre – Learn about Sport Scholarship Programme for talented student athletes to reach both their academic and sporting potential. Then look around Ravelin, our new £57 million sports facility to understand the range of activities on offer to students.

  • Technology: Engineering Come see the facilities available to students studying Civil, Mechanical, Electronic and Renewable Energy Engineering, Product Design and Surveying, including the tools students use for concrete testing, rapid prototyping and 3D printing.
