Shakiba Moghadam, a PhD student and contestant on Channel 4’s SAS Who dares wins, will speak at an event aimed to promote empowerment in women.

Shakiba will share her experiences as a woman during her participation in the male-dominated show, as part of an inaugural series of events, hosted by Moving Womxn.

Moving Womxn, a student-led group from the School of Sport, Health and Exercise Science will promote their goal to advocate for and empower women and gender equality in sport and physical activity.

She will also discuss strategies about how to protect your mental health under extreme circumstances.

Whilst the face-to-face inaugural session has had to be postponed, the group have made provisions to host the event on-line on the 26 March at 6.00pm – 7.30pm.
The session is free and everyone is welcome to access it.
