Who it's for
Local, small and medium organisations in the private, public or third sector.
Cost
Free. Students receive course credits rather than payment.
Timescales
Around 10 Weeks (June to September).
Best suited to
A project that matters to your growth but isn’t business-critical or urgent.
What's involved
Our clients will work with a team of three or four postgraduate students from our Global MBA programme. Throughout the project, students investigate a business challenge, opportunity, or strategic issue within your organisation, undertaking research, engaging with stakeholders, analysing findings, and developing practical, evidence-based recommendations tailored to your business needs.
Clients are typically asked to:
- Attend an initial project kick-off meeting with the student team.
- Provide background information and access to relevant business insights.
- Meet regularly with students throughout the project and be available for questions and feedback.
- Commit approximately 1–2 hours per week during the project period.
- Attend the final presentation where students share their findings and recommendations.
- Review the final written report and consultancy recommendations.
By the end of the project, your organisation will receive a professional presentation and written report containing evidence-based insights and recommendations to help address your business challenge.
How it works
1. Tell us your challenge
Register your interest and we’ll talk through whether the project suits a student team, and which route fits.
2. Write a brief with us
We help you shape the challenge into something a team can deliver in ten weeks. You don’t need a polished brief to start.
3. The team works on it
Around ten weeks. Expect roughly 90 minutes of your time a week - a check-in, access to people and information, and answers to questions as they come up.
4. You get the report
A written consultancy report with recommendations, presented to you by the team at the end of the project.
Before you enquire
To get the most from an MBA Consulting Project, organisations should have a clearly defined business challenge, opportunity, or strategic question that would benefit from independent research and analysis.
Clients should be prepared to share relevant business information, provide access to key stakeholders where appropriate, and commit time throughout the project to support the student team. Regular communication and feedback are essential to help students understand your organisation and deliver meaningful, practical recommendations that address your objectives.
If your project involves commercially sensitive information, tell us at the enquiry stage and we’ll explain what we can put in place.
Interested in an MBA Consulting Project?
You don't need a fully developed project brief. Simply tell us about your business challenge, and we'll help shape the project and advise when the next opportunity is available.
